Andy Benz

"Andy Benz" or Andreas Bennetzen is trained as a classical musician with a PhD in solo double bass.

 

He is a one-man electric double bass orchestra - he does not need an orchestra to back him up live!

With a modest but sufficient setup, Andy loops tastefull phrases in perfect time, with no flaw as only a true professional performer can muster.

The sound is Cinematic, Noir, Angelic & at times Demonic.

​

His passion for exploring new and original approaches to the double bass has lead him to work with electric upright bass, live-looping and other electronics creating his own special sound.
